In this CIRCO Track we identify waste-reducing and circular solutions for the cleaning industry, together with chain partners. This includes cleaning equipment, cleaning products, disposables, the cleaning processes, and packaging, of course.

This CIRCO Track was developed following a first round-table discussion with several companies in the cleaning chain, which was hosted by the Province of South Holland. Some of the conclusions following this round table:

  • There are opportunities for making the chain (and the packaging chain in particular) more circular
  • Sustainability can only be achieved through chain cooperation.

We will examine these points in more detail during the CIRCO Track: Circular cleaning industry. What is so unique about a CIRCO Track is that we gather all the stakeholders in the chain around the table, from producers to cleaning companies, to examine how we can transform the cleaning industry into a circular industry.

At the end of the track, you will have developed a long-term vision as well as a detailed plan to get started immediately.

For Whom?
  • Producers of cleaning products
  • Cleaning services/companies
  • Producers of cleaning equipment
  • Clients Offices, schools or government institutions (facility management)
  • Logistical partners
  • Waste collection/processing companies

Participant

Each company is represented by two participants:

  • an employee with product knowledge, such as a product manager, developer or designer;
  • and an employee with a more commercial role, who knows the market, customers, and stakeholders.

You explore opportunities together and take concrete first steps to develop new products, services, and business models. The interaction between the companies and the two disciplines of a company adds a lot of value!

Why you should consider participating in a CIRCO Track:
  • Circular entrepreneurship paves the way for new business opportunities!
  • You boost your competitiveness and formulate new values for your organization and your customers. It also helps you to reassess your business model through innovation. Is it future-proof? What are the latest insights and views?
  • CIRCO fosters cooperation within the chain, helping individual companies to achieve something that might otherwise be very difficult or even impossible.
  • Ideas become smarter and easier to execute through cross-pollination and chain cooperation.
  • You develop plans for your organization or company that can be implemented in the short term and gain an insight into potential systemic change in the long term.
  • You get access to usable knowledge and tools that are shared internally and that can later be utilized for other circular projects.
  • As a company, you contribute to the development of a circular economy, in which products and materials are reused and raw materials retain their value, putting an end to the use of substances of very high concern.
After the 3-day Track you have a:
  • Newly developed product or service and business model.
  • A long-term vision as well as a detailed plan to get started immediately.
  • A pair of hands that are itching to tackle the issue and a (broader) network that can help you with this.
  • Possible solutions for:
    • Innovative solutions to reduce waste in the cleaning industry
    • Smarter use of products and development of high-end services within the industry
    • Circular chain cooperations
