Look around you. Yes now. How many textile products do you see around you? Your clothes, of course. But perhaps also your bag, a cushion on the couch or the upholstery of the chair you are sitting on. Textiles are everywhere, you wear them, you sleep under them, you sit on them, you clean with them. The textile industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world and the clothing industry is growing fast. This has major consequences for the environment: about 4 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions come from the clothing and shoe industry. This can, and should, be done differently.
