Recap CHANGEZ

The Dutch have an average of fifty items of clothing in their wardrobe that they do not wear. Shame! Now that spring cleaning is in full swing, all of these garments are coming to the forefront. It was therefore quite busy at CHANGEZ last Sunday, May 7, with +/- 500 visitors. Together with The Swapshop, we once again organized the largest clothing exchange of Rotterdam. This edition was all about SWAP and REPAIR. There was a Textile Repair Café in collaboration with the textile makers of the Wijkpaleis. They stood ready to repair clothing and to adjust freshly exchanged outfits where necessary. Outfits could be completed with pre-loved sneakers from WEAR and of course the tummies could be filled in our sustainable food court with Het Nieuwe Nassen. In total, a record number of 650 garments were swapped. As a result, we have all saved no less than 1177 kg of CO2 and 429 cubic meters of water, which is equivalent to 8580 washes. This is how we make an impact together!
