Live on earth is connected to our sun: our products, energy, health and food is created thanks to her sunshine. At Biodesign Night 2022, we explore the integration of living organisms in the design process by staging best practices from all over the world that collaborate with the sun to create biocircular solutions.

Biodesign Night 2022 – The Solar Edition

This year’s Biodesign Night collabs with The Solar Biënnale to investigate how the sun creates circular designs. Our aim is to organize a constructive, open exchange between designers, artists, engineers and scientists about how to harvest solar energy, thereby taking indigenous wisdom and scientific knowledge into account. From using sunlight into algae and other biomass, to storing heat in water for winterwarmth, there are many solutions nature offers design solutions for us humans.
